Christ Church Website Goes Live

It's taken some months to complete, but finally Christ Church's new website is, as you can see, live.

Since this new website was commissioned by the church, our vicar, Ralph Goldenberg, has retired and our curate, Ian Pallent has moved to become vicar of St Ouen, Jersey. He took with him his wife, George who is responsible for the design, layout and navigation of this site. We're also very grateful to Hollie Whittles of Purple Frog IT who has taken care of all the technical details of building the site.

Like any church, this website isn't perfect. There are pages about many gorups and activities still to add and the new email addresses may not all be working yet. Christ Church's Shiny New Vicar!

The biggest news at Christ Church so far this term has been the arrival of our new vicar, Tim Lomax and his family.

Tim was inducted by the Bishop of Shrewsbury on 12 Oct in a good-humoured and lively service celebrating the start of a new chapter for our church.

Most unusual though was the fact that Tim's wife was also licensed at the same time as an Associate Minister (an unpaid position as the Bishop carefully noted!) as Kate, too, is an ordained priest in the Church of England.

Meet the New Vicar & Family

On Wednesday 24 November Tim & Kate are hosting an evening to meet members of the Christ Church family, to share food together and to hear a little about their life story and how they've come to be the new inhabitants of the Vicarage.
